It would be amazing if Minecraft had volcanic biomes inspired by real geology. These places could feature active lava rivers, steam rising from the ground, and superheated blocks that deal damage, similar to what happens at volcanoes like Kīlauea. Over time, the lava would cool and form vast plains of cracked and rippled rock, like those found in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, creating gray and almost lifeless landscapes. There could also be areas with fumaroles releasing hot gases, similar to the geothermal regions of Yellowstone National Park, where players could find minerals like sulfur and rare crystals. In some places, natural basalt columns similar to those at Giant's Causeway could appear, forming impressive structures for exploration and parkour. These biomes could introduce new blocks such as volcanic ash, hot basalt, porous volcanic rock, and fractured obsidian, as well as rare giant volcanoes with magmatic caves and occasional events like small tremors or flowing lava, making the world feel much more alive and dynamic. 🌋
