Two updates I hear a lot about are an End update and an inventory update. I think these can be combined. We already see an expansion of inventory with shulker boxes from the End. What if there was an ENCHANTMENT that gives you more inventory space. The name could be HEFTY HAUL (HH) Level I will give you 3 more slots in the inventory, level II will give you 6 more slots in the inventory, and level III will give you 6 more inventory plus 2 more hotbar slots. Like Soul Speed that was added in the Nether update or Swift Sneak from the Wild update, HH won't be obtainable from villagers. You will have to find it in a structure in the End dimension. It could be in End Cities or some other new structure.
What piece of equipment would HH be applied to? Chestplate and/or leggings. It wouldn't make much sense for it to go on tools, helmets, or boots. Real life pants have pockets and you can also wear a backpack in real life. If you had both a HH III chestplate and HH III leggings, you could have 12 more inventory slots and 4 more hotbar slots (total of 16 more slots). I have also always felt like there needed to be another option for a chestplate enchantment because the other armor pieces all have unique ones and this could be it! It would also nerf Elytra a little bit because you can't won't be able to have the full extent of HH and an elytra at the same time. However, you will still get to have more inventory with the elytra on as long as you have HH on your leggings.
