Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Steel

A new material, almost on par with diamonds.
 
Steel armor is almost on par with diamond armor. However, it cannot be upgraded to netherite. Its distinguishing feature is that it can be customized and retains heat (like clothing or a food thermos).
 
Used in crafting various mechanisms and items related to heat retention (for protection from the cold in survival mode).
 
Crafting requires smelting iron ore in a blast furnace.
