Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Charred Wood. Charcoal Block

If you set any wood on fire (except Crimson and Warped), there's a small chance it will turn into Charred Wood instead of burning.
 
It can't be crafted into planks; it immediately turns into Charcoal, which can be crafted into a Charcoal Block (looks like a block of coal, but is brown).
 
The bottom block never burns (as it's a stump). It turns into Charred Wood.
