I really enjoy Minecraft’s building and world-generation systems, and I appreciate how new blocks and materials continue to expand creative possibilities. One area I think could be explored further is the addition of more stone types and related building blocks. Having greater variety in stone textures, colors, and block families could add more depth to biomes, improve natural terrain detail, and give builders even more tools to create unique structures. Here are the stones and other blocks.
- Fluorite.
- Lime stone.
- Marble.
- Slate.
Custom stones
- Charge Stone – Stores Redstone power and releases it slowly.
- Echo Stone – Makes sounds louder in caves; useful for traps or ambience.
- Emberstone – Found near lava pools; faintly glows and damages mobs that stand on it.
- Frostrock – Icy-blue stone from frozen biomes; slightly slippery like packed ice.
- Voidstone – Found near the void or deep caves; absorbs light and looks pitch-black.
- Astral Rock – Speckled like stars; faintly shimmers in the End.
- Whisperstone – Makes quiet ambient sounds when you walk on it.
- Mossrock – Stone with thick moss; grows faster near water.
- Riverstone – Smooth rounded stone from rivers; great for paths.
- Dunerock – Sandy stone that resists gravity (won’t fall like sand).
- Rootstone – Stone with visible roots; found under giant trees.
- Ashstone – Soft gray Nether stone that breaks quickly.
- Molten Core Rock – Cracked stone with lava glow inside.
- Cinderslate – Blackened, burnt stone for brutal Nether builds.
