I suggest adding a new biome called the Mixed Forest. Currently, most forests in Minecraft are monocultural (only one type of tree). A Mixed Forest would bring a much-needed variety to the landscape, combining deciduous and coniferous trees in one place.
1. Vegetation Diversity:
This biome features a natural mix of:
Deciduous trees: Oak, Birch, and Dark Oak.
Coniferous trees: Spruce trees of various heights (both tall "mega" spruce and short bushes).
Undergrowth: High grass, ferns, and mossy patches on the ground.
2. Atmosphere and Terrain:
The Mixed Forest should be dense and slightly hilly. Fallen logs (covered in moss) and small ponds would make it feel ancient and wild. Because of the different tree heights, the canopy is irregular, creating beautiful lighting effects on the forest floor.
3. Unique Features:
Rich Resources: This is the perfect place for players to gather all types of wood without traveling to different biomes.
Wildlife: This biome would be the primary home for Badgers, Foxes, and Brown Bears.
Mushrooms: Due to the shade and humidity, large quantities of brown and red mushrooms (and even some new wild berries) should grow here.
4. Why add this?
It bridges the gap between the bright Oak forests and the dark Taiga, making the world generation feel more organic and less "blocky" in terms of climate zones.
