Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Kiwano (Horned Melon): A Drought-Resistant Crop for Savanna Biomes

 

I suggest adding Kiwano to the game. It is a unique, spiked fruit that thrives in dry conditions.

Key Features:

Environment: Kiwano grows on vines in Savanna and Desert biomes. It does not require water blocks nearby to grow, making it the most drought-resistant crop.

Defense Mechanic: The fruit has spikes. If a player or mob walks over a mature Kiwano plant, they take a small amount of damage (similar to sweet berry bushes).

Yield: A single plant produces 1-2 large fruits. Each fruit, when sliced, provides 4 Kiwano Slices.

Hydration & Storage: Each slice restores a small amount of hunger but provides high saturation. The seeds can be used to craft yellow dye.

This crop adds a unique survival option for dry biomes and introduces a new protective plant mechanic.
