Dear Mojang,
While the End is meant to feel like a "barren wasteland," its current state has become more anticlimactic than atmospheric. As the final frontier of the game, it currently lacks the depth found in the Overworld and Nether. I am writing to propose a comprehensive "End Drop" to truly finalize the dimension's potential. I don't want this to be a super stressful thing for your team, as I know that you switched to drops instead of major updates for that very reason. If you must split it up into multiple drops, I think people would still be very happy.
The Vision:
- Main Island Revamp: The current obsidian, endstone, and bedrock configuration feels outdated. A more dynamic main island—perhaps incorporating tiered elevation or unique end-specific structures—would make the initial dragon fight feel more legendary.
- Diverse Biomes: Beyond the endless islands, we need variety. Introducing biomes would encourage exploration.
- New Resources: The End is the perfect place for a new high-tier ore or utility block that provides unique end-game mechanics, such as teleportation-based crafting or gravity-defying building blocks.
- Structural Depth: More structures beyond End Cities are needed. Ancient ruins or small outposts would tell a story of what came before.
We love the End Dimension, but we want it to feel like a world worth exploring, not just a place to fly through for an Elytra and some Shulker Boxes.
Thank you for your time,
