Played MC for almost a decade with passionate dedication to building, hope to be helpful. There are these specific blocks I miss so often and can't cope with it: there isn't a polished version of andezite/granite/diorite wall, dark/cut prismarine wall, nether brick fence gate, I would find so much use for them. There are many rare ores but little utility, making whole set of crystal (diamond, amethyst, emerald..) or gold blocks like stairs, walls and slabs would add much purpose in building as visuals. The main visual letdown are definitely candles, with immense potential, but delayed display of the flame spoils many scenes. Variation between the luminosity of light blocks would add diversity. As well as more distinct sounds. Lastly, I think leaf litter should appear over time, as the snow does when it snows.
These few tweaks would make it hit perfection. Best released as a minor update, together with other tweaks.
