The current Mace balance is creating several unhealthy situations in PvP that remove counterplay and centralize the combat meta around one single option.
The main issue is the Wind Charge + Mace combo, which frequently creates unavoidable one-taps even when the defending player reacts correctly.
Problems:
-
Unavoidable one-taps: The burst damage combined with momentum makes survival inconsistent and often impossible.
-
Excessive knock-up: Getting launched too high removes control from the player and turns the fight into a coin flip.
-
Fall damage abuse: Many deaths happen not from the Mace itself, but from forced fall damage after being knocked upwards.
-
Fire enchantment synergy: A high-burst weapon shouldn’t also benefit from fire damage-over-time, which creates power creep and reduces weapon diversity.
Suggested adjustments:
-
Lower or remove the extreme knock-up values.
-
Remove fall damage caused by Mace hits.
-
Disable Fire Aspect on the Mace.
-
Slightly reduce the burst damage to increase consistency and counterplay.
These changes keep the identity of the Mace — a momentum-based high-damage weapon — but remove the unhealthy one-tap scenarios and make the PvP meta healthier and more varied.
