- Goal: Restore old‑school progression and survival by making the Overworld more challenging and atmospheric.
- Resources: Iron and diamonds slightly rarer, so every find feels valuable. Caves shouldn’t feel like “resources everywhere.”
- Biomes: Forests, plains, and taiga expand. Forests denser: more trees, undergrowth, fallen logs, vines, fog. Deserts remain vast and atmospheric.
- Structures:
- Hunter’s Hut: forest cabin with chest (bow, arrows, traps). Rarely, an Evoker spawns.
- Oak Fortress: alternative to pillager outposts, guarded by sentinels with traps and rare loot.
- Swamp Ruins: drowned village remains, overgrown with vines and moss. Loot: bread, books, artifacts. Inhabited by zombie villagers or witches.
- Stronghold: twice as large, with labyrinths and traps. Eye of Ender points only to entrance; players must explore to find portal. More rooms, secret chests, enchanted books.
- Balance: Rework “copper dungeons” into meaningful builds — e.g. small swamp outposts (preferably swamp structures) with oxidized blocks, Strays or witches, and rare loot. Focus on structures that add danger, history, and survival value.
- Result: The world feels bigger and richer. Resources regain value. Structures become adventures, not filler. The path to the End is a true challenge.
This update would restore the thrill of discovery and survival that made Minecraft legendary.
