The only advancements you’ve done to the enchantment table since the beginning has been changed the randomness and add the need for lapis an less exp up the need for XP giving the wide variety in access to XP and XP farms and make the enchantment better to compete with the librarians is the more logical answer you’re asking why are they picking the librarians over the table every time which will be the problem the table not the librarians, but you’re willing to take away the librarians effectiveness rather than fixing the problem great mechanics and systems will shine light on bad or faulty mechanics and systems please remember that before taking away the villager trading system we have now and come to love. An at the end of the day villager trading is players choice not requirement to play an is also very time consuming an tedious

Basically change the enchanting system to be more useful and accesible so people choose over the villagers instead of rebalancing their tradings? Yeah, that's what we need actually. The enchanting table is almost useless as of now. Also making enchanting easier and better would encourage players to use gold tools and armor.

Also, related to the diamonds, I think the armor trims shouldn't be duped with diamons (except for the upgrade template) but with other materials like copper or iron. Would make more sense and make armor trims be used more.
