I think Minecraft could benefit from subtle bits of magic or spells. The game already contains magic such as enchanting, and potions, but these are not reliable.
Magic doesnt have to be anything major, but rather simple spells or tomes designed to help with repetitive tasks or to make playthroughs a little more varied. For balance, tomes could have durability, cooldown, or consume enchanting level per use.
Some spells that fit perfectly into minecraft could be tomes that boost crop growth, allow players to change the weather or make traversing a little bit more varied.
