This item has been widely discussed. I'd like to add more
A quiver should be added to Minecraft. Here’s how it would work:
The quiver would have a certain number of slots, visualized the same way as bundle slots. The total arrow capacity would be 320. This means you could have 5 slots of 64 arrows of different types, 2 types with 160 each, or 1 type with all 320. Essentially, the quiver would function like a bundle, but exclusively for arrows.
Simply having a quiver in your inventory wouldn’t make it usable. To use it, you would need to combine it with a bow or crossbow in the crafting grid. Once combined, arrows could be placed inside just like items in a bundle, by clicking on the quivered weapon.
I propose two versions: a leather quiver and a rabbit hide quiver.
The leather quiver would have 3 numbered slots (1–3). The bow would fire arrows from slot 1 first, then slot 2, and finally slot 3 when others run out.
The rabbit hide quiver would have 5 unnumbered slots. Instead of a set order, it would shoot a random arrow each time, allowing you to mix arrows with negative effects and inflict various debuffs with each shot.
If the bow breaks, the quiver breaks too.
If the bow has Infinity and the selected arrow is a normal one, it won’t be consumed.
A quivered bow or crossbow can be repaired the same way as normal.
To separate the bow and quiver, place them in the crafting grid—you’ll retrieve the quiver while the bow remains, similar to crafting a honey block where bottles are returned.
