Dear Minecraft Development Team,
I am writing to respectfully suggest a new feature for the Java Edition of Minecraft: the ability to create and use custom 3D armor models using vanilla resource packs and data packs.
As a long-time player since 2013, I deeply enjoy creating custom content within the vanilla game's framework. I have noticed that while we can create custom 3D models for items and player heads, this functionality is unfortunately not available for armor. It feels like a missing piece of the creative puzzle.
I believe that adding official support for custom 3D armor models would be a fantastic addition. It would empower the community to create even more unique and impressive content without relying on mods, staying true to the vanilla experience.
I truly hope you will consider this suggestion. Thank you for your time and for continuously improving this amazing game.
