I have this quality of life idea for enchantments.
In my opinion, there is too much RNG with getting enchantments, and its boring to just place, check, break, place, and so on...
I think that the methods we have now should stay. However there should be another method for enchanting thats not luck based at all.
So I have this idea: A new block, its very expensive to craft and needs something to "power" it.
(it wont work without the power) For example atleast 3 chiseld bookshelves (or enchanted chiseld bookshelves with some new enchantment for them) the more enchanted books are in the bookshelves, the higher level you can get or better enchantments. Also the non rng enchanting table is not only expensive, but it has durability like an anvil.
To put it simply; the bookshelves around the super enchanting table 3000 (or however you want to call it) act as a base to power the table with enchanted books, so its one value for every shelf around it.
It lets you choose the enchants you want for a tool. So you put the tool in and decide what enchants you want, lets say for example: I want Sharpnes 5 on my full durability diamond sword. Now the sword is at half durability and i have to repair it. Also it costs about 20 levels (it should be expensive because of all the time saved but maybe not this expensive)
Similarly to the enchanting table, instead of lapis you would need for example diamonds or some new enchanting resource that is hard to get. Like new end lapis, whitch means end update.
