What would Minecraft be like with properly made shields? You could attach lanterns directly to shields to light up caves, making it the only way to have dynamic lighting while protecting yourself. Also, if you find a geode in a cave, it would be very useful, since you could use amethyst to make shields transparent so they don’t block your vision. There could also be new enchantments, such as “Charge,” which performs a small rush that pushes nearby mobs back but adds a cooldown to the shield; “Throw,” which lets you throw the shield like a boomerang, similar to Captain America’s, and at level three it would have a 0.5% chance of giving mob heads; and “Absorb,” which allows you to use lingering potions and move the cloud during combat. In addition, shields could come in different wood types and colors, and be customized with patterns to match your armor. It would be an amazing improvement that would make shields much more useful, creative, and fun to use
