In Adventure Mode (Bedrock Edition), axes, shovels, and hoes can be used to change block states, causing players to unintentionally or intentionally damage structures on the map.
Examples:
Axe: strip logs, remove oxidation/wax from copper blocks
Shovel: create dirt path, extinguish campfire
Hoe: till dirt/grass, shave coarse and rooted dirt
Consider disabling these right-click actions in Adventure Mode, or controlling them by adding the component with the /give command.
Even though can_destroy / can_place_on control destruction and placement, they do not prevent players from changing the appearance of blocks, which is quite destructive.
Also, turning off building/mining permissions does not stop these interactions.
Axes have the ability to temporarily disable shields.
However, they also come at a higher risk of destroying logs and copper blocks, rendering these building materials unusable.
This is a shame, as copper blocks are a material that has been significantly expanded in recent updates.
Some tools already have limited functionality in Adventure Mode.
Brush: Cannot turn suspicious sand into regular sand.
Shears: Cannot carve pumpkins.
Previously in Adventure Mode, you could destroy blocks if you had a tool,
but that was removed and the "can_destroy" component was introduced in order to give players more creative freedom. Given that direction, controlling block changes via right-click is a natural improvement.
