Let’s talk about Minecraft Multiplayer.
Right now, players can only:
-
Play through Xbox, where you must add friends first;
-
Or join servers, which often have too many or too few players.
That’s basically it.
Bedrock Edition at least allows you to play in your own world with friends.
But in Java Edition, it’s limited — you can only play on servers or Realms, which many players don’t use.
In the past, there were great third-party multiplayer apps for Bedrock, especially on mobile.
They worked like this: open the app → pick a public world hosted by another player → join instantly, no invites or friend requests → play together.
If you didn’t like the world, just leave and pick another.
Those apps are gone now, but Bedrock players eally miss that experience.
My (or not quite my) idea:
Add a Public Worlds List in Bedrock so players can make their worlds joinable for everyone, no invites needed (unless they choose to restrict it).
Then bring a similar system to Java Edition.
Why this matters:
It would let players connect and play together directly in Minecraft — no Realms, servers, or external apps required.
