Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Rust on iron

Why not change the iron in the game so that it can rust, because like copper, iron could gradually become a darker brown over time. What do you think of this idea?

    I know that should be a unique copper mechanic, but rust could work differently. Rust doesn't look good like copper's oxidation does, so it wouldn't be for decoration but for ambient. Also rust could make iron weaker so it has a unique mechanic of more things being able to break it the more rusty it is (mining, entities falling from high up, projectiles, etc). This could also make copper lanterns, chains and bars have a different, unique design.
