We love the copper tools, it fills a good early game gap between stone and iron.
However, a there is a spot avaliable for an even better fill, the Iron-Diamond gap.
Take a look at the durabilities of each tool's material in the game: Stone 130, Copper 190, Iron 250 and Diamond ~1500. That's a huge gap! Perhaps a new material could be added to fill it.
In fact, I want this so much that I'm getting into mod making just for this. I chose to call the new ore Mithril, since it is a standard strong fantasy material, gave it a durability of 750, and just as copper tools are basically stone with better durability and faster break times, I'd give Mithril the same treatment with regards to Iron.
The Iron-Diamond gap is also huge in the Armor stats. not only the Armor values itself go from 7.5 to 10, but Diamond has additional "Armor Toughness". In my mod I'm giving Mithril Armor a combined value of 8.5 either without armor toughness at all, or very little of it.
I just think more tiers are fun lol
