Currently, in Minecraft Bedrock Edition and Pocket Edition, the offhand is very limited. Players can only use shields, maps, and a few items in the offhand slot, while in Java Edition the offhand can be used for many items (like torches, totems, arrows, etc.).
We request Mojang to bring full offhand support to Bedrock/MCPE.
✅ Benefits of Full Offhand Support:
1. Better Survival Gameplay → Players can hold a sword in the right hand and a torch in the left hand while exploring caves.
2. Improved PvP & Combat → Totems and ender pearls can be quickly used without opening inventory.
3. More Realistic Experience → Both hands of the player get used properly, just like Java Edition.
4. Fair Balance → Java and Bedrock players will have more equal features, reducing the gap.
🎮 Control Suggestion:
The right hand will remain the main hand (as it is now).
Add one extra button (for offhand use) to the Bedrock/Pocket Edition controls.
This keeps gameplay smooth and gives players easy access to offhand items without changing the core mechanics.
We believe this will make Minecraft Bedrock more enjoyable, balanced, and modern for all mobile and console players.
