Official Minecraft Java Edition protocol documentation

We ask Mojang/Microsoft to publish official documentation for the Minecraft: Java Edition network protocol.

Right now, only the community figures it out. After big updates, everything breaks, and plugin developers must spend a lot of time fixing things again. This makes plugins harder to make and slows down in overall mods development.

As for now, there is no full featured documentation, there's still a lot of pitfalls.

There is no reason to keep the  network protocol as a secret. It is not a competitive advantage and hiding it only creates problems for the community. The protocol is already being reversed by fans

Official documentation would make development easier and help the community keep Minecraft better.

    Mojang has already submitted official Bedrock protocol docs, they should absolutely do the same for Java Edition!
