Hello Minecraft Team,
I'd like to suggest an improvement that could significantly enhance multiplayer gameplay: making the PvP (player vs player) systems of Java and Bedrock editions more similar or even identical.
Currently, there are key differences between the two versions, such as:
-
The attack cooldown in Java (missing in Bedrock).
-
Differences in shield mechanics, critical hits, or timing.
-
Overall PvP balancing, which makes switching between editions difficult and unfair in cross-platform play.
This creates a gap between communities and makes crossplay servers hard to balance.
My suggestion:
Implement a unified PvP system, or at least introduce an option in the settings to choose between combat styles. This would allow for:
-
Better compatibility between Java and Bedrock.
-
Fairer competition in crossplay.
-
A more unified PvP community.
Thank you for considering this idea!
