Dear Mojang team,
I'm a long-time Minecraft player from China. The Overworld and Nether have seen amazing updates, but the End remains largely unchanged since shulkers and elytra were added.
A major issue is how hard it is to access. Finding strongholds and activating the End portal is complex, especially for new or casual players. I once played with classmates who rarely touch Minecraft, but when I helped them reach and defeat the Ender Dragon, they were so excited — some even took photos to celebrate. Without my help, they wouldn’t have even tried.
Minecraft today isn’t just about “beating the game.” Players build, explore, and enjoy other features. Simplifying access to the End would encourage more players to experience it. Right now, many avoid it simply because the entry process is too demanding.
As a veteran, I go to the End mainly for elytra. But compared to the Nether — with its biomes, loot, and bastions — the End feels empty. There’s little reason to explore it more than once.
I also think the Phantom doesn’t add much value. It frustrates multiplayer players and its drops are rarely used. Moving it to the End, with a new “Phantom Fortress” and special loot, could refresh both the mob and the dimension.
Thanks for reading! I hope the End can become as exciting as the rest of Minecraft.
