With the new copper armor, weapons, and tools coming to the game this fall, I was thinking now's a better time then ever to add another upgrade use to the Smithing table besides Netherite and armor trims. I suggest adding Tin into the game as a rare ore. More rare than iron but less rare than diamond. When smelted the Tin ingots could be used in the smithing table along with a new alloy (Bronze) upgrade template, to upgrade the new copper tool and armor sets into Bronze which could fit nicely as a tier between Iron and Diamond or as an aesthetic difference to iron. In real life Bronze was abandoned in favor of Iron not because iron was necessarily better in every way, but because you needed to mine two metals, Copper and Tin, to make the alloy, rather than using one (iron). With Tin being much more rare than Copper, Iron was more cost effective and people made the switch.
I would love to have Bronze tools, weapons, and armor that gives us higher durability than Iron before finding Diamonds. This would help the progression of the game but also give more use for the new Copper set to the more late game players. Baring it being better than Iron, a bronze armor set could look really cool, and be great just for the aesthetics alone.
