Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Dampened Coral - Colourful Coral on the surface!

Hello! For this suggestion, I think it'd be nice to have something along the lines of Dampened Coral which I just named. This would be Coral that can keep its colour, even whilst above the water.

I think the Coral and Coral Blocks are beautiful items, but it's such a shame when you try to use them above the water and watch as they go grey within seconds. So why not add a way to keep the colour? For this, I would like to suggest that you can dip coral into a Cauldron full of water to create Dampened Coral!

When broken, it could either stay as Dampened Coral, or revert to regular Coral.

I hope something like this is implemented so I can use these colourful blocks in my builds!

    One way to use live coral above water is to use waterlogged blocks as hidden water sources, but you're right that it's still pretty restrictive.

    This is indeed a method, however it should be noted that it only works for the Java Edition of the game.
