Connect Minecarts Together to Form Trains (with Optional Locomotives)

I would love to see a feature where players can connect multiple minecarts together to form actual trains in Minecraft. This could be done using chains or a special item, allowing players to create longer, functional transport systems — not just one cart at a time.

There could also be a locomotive-style powered minecart that pulls the connected carts behind it, rather than relying on redstone-powered rails for each cart individually. This would open up new gameplay possibilities for builders, redstone engineers, and survival players alike.

Minecarts have great potential, but they often feel outdated compared to boats or horses for transport. Adding real train mechanics would make them exciting again — both visually and mechanically — and would bring them back into style for large builds, adventure maps, and automated systems.
