    Agreed, this tweak would make it perfect, even if its just a toggle option. Just feels wrong seeing wooden chests being literally neon orange when their original colors would look so much better with these shaders

    You can fix it by going to the main menu settings (NOT on your world) and going to Video > Turn on "Allow In-Game Graphics Mode Switching". Then you can switch it to Simple or Fancy and it reverts it.

    I agree, although not necessarily for the mood but because the sensation I get with the light on this update is like I have grease on my glasses. I turned down Bloom, which helps, but the world is still so bright it smears together. I was so excited for the shaders so that the massive castles I create can actually have light casting through their windows and all, but this upside has come with the downside of oversaturation. The original look already had a "completely lit up" palette; all that needed to happen was for the shadows to move according to the sun.

    I don't have the same emotive sentiment, but definitely agree that the colours are oversaturated.

    I agree with you. There used to be a tone-mapping setting with the old Deferred Lighting engine (later replaced by Vibrant Visuals)
