Inventory cursor snapping

In the inventory screen, on console, the cursor will snap to the center of boxes when moving it around. There should be an option to disable that so that you can move your cursor freely. The cursor snapping can make crafting really annoying. It’ll be much easier and less frustrating if you could glide your cursor across the square and place items as you go. I keep accidentally keep placing items in the wrong squares because my cursor snaps to the wrong one then having to put my stack back in my inventory then move my cursor back over to it and move it. Crafting multiple items is also really difficult when your cursor keeps snapping. Especially when you have to quickly craft something in a time sensitive situation is impossible. I have tried turning my cursor sensitivity up and down but that doesn’t help. This would be a good quality of life change that would help make the game more enjoyable.

    It just started happening after the 1.19.80 update while I was in my friends realm. I did do some mining the other night! But it might be caused by the realm not being up to date. But it can’t be… my controllers to my switch are fine but it’s not when am in Minecraft.

    Please make this toggle-able/optional! Makes trading for enchanted books very difficult and often snaps off the edge of the crafting screen going back to the top leftmost box.  It is a very irritating glitch that dampens overall enjoyment.  And, trying to teach someone unfamiliar with a controller how to play on console while navigating the crafting menu is insanely difficult. It ruins the gaming experience for those who do not have controller chops. Please add the toggle switch right next to controller sensitivity.

    This is still a problem with updates. They seem to have a bug fix after a while. But this one has stayed after the last update.

    Please make this a toggle option. You cannot speedrun minecraft on console with this problem. It takes whole minutes off your time just trying to deal with the dumb cursor moving everywhere in every menu.

    Yeah, it makes the whole inventory and crafting aspects (a HUGE part of the game) super difficult and unpleasant. :(

    I saw a comment from another site as a temporary fix while they wait for a better one and it works. Go to settings>wireless controller>hide controller cursor. Still annoying to toggle around box by box but its better than the current.

    I have very little time to play this game as I am a single mom with two jobs. Since this issue started happening, about one to two weeks ago, I can't enjoy playing at all because building and crafting have become too frustrating. I've had to stop playing. Please fix this so I can play again.

    Adding such an aggressive feature with no way to turn it off was a bad move.
