To make the clock more useful, the clock could dropped as an item and emit "ticking" to provide a very portable way, since it's an item, to distract a Warden (or activate a Sculk Sensor for consistency). It wouldn't necessarily have to make a noise audible to the player, it could just make the vibration effect. To make it a little less powerful, it could broken by the Warden which would of course stop its distracting effects. Also, maybe the broken clock could be repaired with possibly a golden nugget or redstone dust.
