Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Carrots can be purple or white, randomly (based on agricultural history)

The real-life history of the carrot being orange is pretty interesting. Originally they were naturally white or purple (and you can rarely find these today, still) but the Dutch bred an orange variant, orange being the Dutch national color. Since Minecraft has a lot of interesting, informational tidbits in its world (such as endangered mobs and things like Scutes and kinds of rock being named appropriately) it'd be a neat nerdy detail, and would fit in perfectly, to have carrots be able to spawn in their historical purple or white.

    Although I like and agree with the idea, a few problems would be trading, usefulness and inventory space. If you have a carrot farm you’ll be getting 3 types of carrots which seems unnecessary just like poisonous potatoes. Not to mention that another carrot variant exist (gold carrot) and I can’t think of any food source with 4 variations of itself.
