Turn rainwater into water

Hello, I got an idea about a new update:
And if the funnels had another use... That is to say, to turn the rainwater into water that can be recovered with a bucket in a cauldron. The system would be to be able to capture rainwater with a funnel in contact with the rain and then direct this water to a cauldron through other funnels... This system would allow to have water underground for fields where to make potions in a sub-terran base.
I hope you will take this message into consideration and add it to Minecraft.
