Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Astronomy update.

I'm not saying anything about aliens or a space dimension that would ruin Minecraft. But I got a few ideas about astronomy in minecraft.

There should be a enchantment for the spyglass called Stargazer I and Stargazer II. It will let you see constellations. And there should be spaceship wrecks with loot in chests. And there should be a new weather: meteor shower. I know it would be bad in survival but the meteors would make explosions in the ground. The good thing about them is that they would drop ores! You might even get diamonds!!

    I definitely agree this should be in the vanilla game, it can thicken the lore, and would fit very well with the theme of exploration/observation (observation mostly). Maybe a small update or part of a big update, for instance the "LOOK! UPDATE". I don't think it should introduce new game mechanics for now, but a few coloured squares in the night sky would make minecraft's empty night-time vibe into a more enchanting one. Considering the build limit got much higher now, i think it's a cool concept to add some sort of sky-gateway, that can be accessed through progressing in survival, maybe using a very rare item to scan and locate them. But that seems a bit over-ambitious for the near future. But...i mean....maybe just a prettier sky with a minecraft-y style. It would require some creative thinking to fit to minecraft's art style, but i really trust the Jeb team :) .
