In 1.18 there should be several things added, such as making banners appear the same on shields instead of being smaller and more pixelated; removing the particle effect of the boul being eaten in the different stews and whatnot; making the flame effect when the player is on fire a bit less extreme; na dpotentially adding in dynamic lighting. I also think there should be other things added like rose-gold, crafted from copper and gold in some combination, possibly using the smithing table which currently only has one use.
Additionally, if there is another combat update, armor should have weight, because decreasing speed is just mean, food point consumption should be drastically increased, maybe doubled, this would apply to everything including using tools and jumping even. This would balance PvP in a good way, providing players with stronger armors remaining better than weaker ones but putting in a cost for using it.
As an extra collection of stuff for and End update, I reccommend adding in decorative crates, being able to shift click on a bed with a banner to put sheets on the bed for a custom bed look, and adding in flower pots that hang from the ceiling.
While having a compass in your inventory, there should be a bit of text added right above the hotbar that displays coordinates, a similar thing would be used for clocks but with time instead of location. And maybe both could be crafted together...
And of course, any of these things can be selected to use, it is not all or none.
