I made a post about being able to plant cacti and other desert flora in Concrete Powder. I had a thought about colored sand, which you can dye. This would allow for red sand to be renewable. The texture would actually look like sand and not the gritty Concrete Powder, and the colors would be slightly darker, which can be used to great effect while building and terraforming. It also allows for planting desert flora without changing the rules for Concrete Powder. HOWEVER: If a bunch of new sand blocks are too much for you, too bulky and confusing, you could simply forego the dyable sand and change how Concrete Powder behaves. Just make it so the powder must be fully submerged, or must have water touch the top of the block, or more than one side, to fully set. This way, you could have it line the edges of your beaches without changing to concrete powder, because the water is only touching one side face of the block. There is still the aspect of planting plants on Concrete Powder but I assume this is a trivial matter. The only drawback to this is we couldnt have colored sand at the bottom of oceans or in highly specific building situations that include water. Either way, having a colored sand type block that will allow Cacti, Dead Bushes and other future plants to be placed on it, and wont change to concrete when touched by water is of paramount importance to builders and mapmakers and I hope the team considers this feature 🙏🏻
