Rotten Flesh Use in Smokers

You should be able to smelt rotten flesh into leather with a Smoker, as the item file is very aesthetically similar to leather, and leather is just dried flesh.

    Leather is made from animal skin... not the rotting flesh of undead human-like creatures. It's rotten flesh not rotten skin. :/

    (No offense, I just think it's a little odd. I can definitely see your reasoning though!) Oh, and it probably wouldn't be a smoker specific thing. Furnaces would do it too.

    not limited to just smokers though maybe have zombies have a small chance of dropping leather as they are wearing cloths

    Leather is not dried flesh, it is hide (skin) of animals, so this makes no sense

    Also this has been suggested before
