Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

More Paintings or Custom Paintings

I think it would really cool if minecraft added more paintings, or at least some way players can get more custom paintings in game. I have custom paintings for minecraft but there are only so many that I can customize and I think we should be able to get more custom paintings at least. Paintings are great for decorating and having more paintings in the game or at least a way to get more customized paintings in the game would be great.

    I personally feel like we should get more paintings in general- ones that better reflect the modern Minecraft feel. There should be more vibrant paintings, and perhaps paintings depicting each mob. Imagine a colorful, adorable painting of a flower field full of bees! Or a grim painting featuring blazes in the Nether.
    The paintings we have now- I'll say it- are dull and boring! We need more color and variety!

    More paintings that reference real-life paintings, minecraft, other games, and abstract paintings with no references to anything at all. Plus, they should add paintings that teach you how to play the game (like the wither painting that teaches you how to summon the wither).

    They should bring back Kristoffer Zetterstrand to make more paintings. The paintings are extremely unique and one of a kind. Commissioning him to make some more would be really awesome.

    I think we finally need some 3x3 or 3x2/2x3 paintings!! We don't have any yet and it's so frustrating when you have a blank wall but can't fit it with a painting!

    There's an easy way to expand the paintings available without making significant changes to the way paintings work.  Instead of just adding more paintings to the list: add more lists.  The simplest way to implement is add a crafting recipe for each color of dye and a painting, which lets you select which library of paintings it uses when you place it.  Sort the paintings so that the dominant color matches the dye used to achieve it for intuition's sake.

    More paintings could be made without Mojang spending much money on it by making a community event out of it.  A pixel art contest.  Winning entries get their piece put in the game and cape.

    When i build in Minecraft creative, i feel like all the paintings are repetitive so it would be nice to have a bigger variety of paintings to make the builds more unique after all, not every person in the real world has the same exact painting in their house, it would also be cool to make your own paintings but id be happy with a few new pictures being added.
