Hammers

Hammers should work like pickaxes, but be stronger and harder to craft. They should come in all varieties: wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite and emerald!

  Not sure about emerald. Hammers require 5 ingots instead of 3. And besides being able to mine, rightclicking on certain blocks would rotate or modify them, like a limited version of a debug stick.

  In my version, they only require 2 ingots. And 3 sticks.

  How I’d make it is hammers are only available in iron, copper, gold, diamond, and netherite. Each one is crafted with 6 blocks of said material (except for netherite obviously) and when used, they mine a 3x3 area. The hammer could also be used as a weapon. The cool down would be very long and maybe an enchantment the makes it when you hit the ground a shockwave is sent out, giving out knock back. To balance the hammer, I would make it so it takes both the main hand and offhand, meaning no shields or totems.
