Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Why I mentioned Strength+ instead of Strength II potions? Because redstone is more abundant than glowstone dust, the ingredients for the specific potions. Which means you'll find players do their experience grinding with Strength+ instead of Strength II pots.

The longer you think about it, the more the arguments in favor pile up:

-Creepers make the most stealthy footstep sounds out of the 4, easily mistaken for your own.
-Creepers make no idle sounds which would alert you to their proximity.

If enchants make fighting the other 3 mobs way easier, it is only fair that the same difference counts just as much for enchants vs creepers as well.

I'd argue the main issue with this actually is that it doesn't make sense for "Bane of Arthropods" to affect mobs that have a spine.

You say "Rename the enchant if needed", what to? I personally cannot think of a name for an enchantment that deals extra damage and slowness (look it up) to Arthropods + Creepers

You make some passable arguments about the creeper feeling more unfair compared to other mobs that spawn during the night, but Bane of Arthropods is not the solution imo

And there's already an enchantment that counters creepers, its called Blast Protection

    OP here:

The point is not so much BoA being "BoA", but there being an enchant that makes killing creepers as practical as, say, smite eases killing undead mobs.

It's not like creepers are boss mobs or something. They spawn just as much as other basic hostiles. The current sword enchants simply don't scale with creepers. Sharpness adds half as much dmg than BoA and Smite vs intended targets. If anything, it would make more sense to have no specialised enchants against the other mobs, except one for creepers.
Because BoA is pretty unused right now, it would be best to replace it with an enchant that álso works vs creepers.

This is a matter of balance, not enchant names or lore logic.
