Rather than having to add a load of individual mossy-block variants, a suggestion I would make would be to have moss as an item which you can apply to any block with a right click, and instantly change the texture to a mossy one. Of course, I'm not a programmer, so I don't know if it would be easier to add an extra state to many blocks, or adding more new blocks, but it seems easier, haha. It would be easier for creative builders as well, as instead of having to fill the hotbar up with mossy block variants, you could instead just have a moss item you could simply just right click on blocks with. In survival, moss could generate on trees, in caves, near rivers, etc, and be harvested with shears. It could also have a "hanging model" as well for being placed under blocks too, kind of like weeping vines (though they don't grow). Please consider!
