Nah man, I usually skip Leather Armor and go straight to iron! XD

Cool idea though, it would be nice if Channeling wasn't worthless (since it literally ONLY works in thunderstorms, so in biomes like deserts it literally doesn't work at all).

Most people skip straight to Iron, it's actually much, much easier and efficient to get a stone pickaxe and go mining for a few minutes to get enough iron for armor (since you'll be needing iron anyway to mine diamonds and progress the game) than to run around looking for a dozen cows so you can get the second worst armor in the game.

Adding a mechanic to add copper to leather armor would just put an armor set into the game that's unnecessarily time consuming to make for protection that isn't even that worth it, that itself is built from another armor set that is unnecessarily time consuming to make for protection that isn't even worth it (Leather armor itself without any copper added).

The real problem is that Copper is way too abundant, and it's arguable that it shouldn't have even been added in the first place (things like spyglasses and lightning rods can be done with Iron). The only benefit Copper has is that it is a really nice decoration and building block. With that being said, not every build needs shades of dark green or bright orange. I don't think there will be a major use for copper so the only thing I can suggest is to reduce its abundancy.

I also believe copper is a missed opportunity. I would like to see copper bucket for farming. one that could hold water but would melt if you used it in lava. copper armor could have the basic stats like chain mail which is found only.  copper shield with half the durability of the current shield.
