Lush caves wood

There needs to be wood in the caves. Even before this the caves update I thought there should be a way to get it. I made a new snapshot world and spawned in a lush cave with no tools. I had no wood source. I have been punching stone to dig to the surface from deep underground. I have died to many times from mobs since I have no weapons. IT OCCURRED TO ME THAT MAYBE THE SMALL AZALEA BUSHES COULD DROP STICKS LIKE THE DEAD BUSHES IN THE DESERT. I like some of the other ideas about lush caves having huge ancient trees and or huge roots. But if you do roots I think it should come from a huge surface tree.

    Bro, you can get wood in the lush caves, it's just a bit harder. So first harvest some glow berries for food, then wait for a skeleton to spawn near your spawn point, then fight it, it's okay if you die, just rush back and keep punching it, until it dies. If it didn't drop bones, then go find another skeleton and repeat until you get some bones. Make it into bone meal and bonemeal an azerla to grow it into a tree, and bam, you've got wood!
