Waxed Lighting Rods

Lightning rods are awesome new blocks! Similar to end rods decoration wise. Only problem is there is no way to mute their attraction to lightning! That makes it very hard for builders to use them in unique decorative ways.... Which is a shame given their unique color and shape! It would be a great addition if you could wax a lightning rod to keep it from attracting lightning! That way you can utilize it as decoration without worrying about burning down something you don't want to! It could go well with the other lighting rod ideas that were posted here too! I would just love to see a way to use these blocks to their full decorative potential in survival without needing to use cheats to turn off weather/fire spread! Thanks for the consideration!

    This is actually a really great idea! One thing I would say is maybe it shouldn't be crafted. We could maybe use a honeycomb on it to wax it, then maybe use a bottle to suck the wax off and turn it into a honey bottle?

    If you put a block that can't catch fire under the lightning rod it will not start a fire, it will only attract the lightning.
