The Protected Plains

This new biome would be bustling with life, but very rare. It would contain numerous villages that would be guaranteed to be large and would also have native mobs, such as a new golem, the Frontline Golem. This golem would patrol the borders of the biome and defend the villagers within. Other than that, I thought maybe the biome could have new villager skins, and maybe a cathedral, or at least an upgraded village building.
