Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Smelting Granite gives you a new building block: Gneiss

Gneiss is a metamorphic rock formed when rocks like granite are subjected to heat and pressure. Gneiss should be a new building block with a polished variant, slabs, stairs, walls, and perhaps even bricks and chiseled variants.
You obtain Gneiss by using a furnace (or blast furnace maybe) to smelt Granite, Diorite, or Andesite (or maybe just granite, but then it would leave the other two without a smelted block).

    I like the idea, also include Marble as well, just I think other stone types need to be more craftable first, love to see bricks, chiseled, slabs, stairs, walls, cracked, infested and so on for these, more for decoration and building, love to see new stones like Chalk, Quartzite, Dolomite, Slates, Shales and so on, also same crafting receipt like the other stones have, so yeah

    I totally agree, more block variants would be totally epic!

    (I actually added some of those using data packs, but of course since they're so limited I had to use armor stands and stuff, which causes annoying visual bugs sometimes...).
