3rd party shader support for render dragon

Prior to Render Dragon, the new graphics engine, release on Bedrock, we had the ability to have/use custom shaders. Not only did these shaders provide the capability for better quality and immersive graphics for the game, but they provided a ton of utility as well. Since Render Dragon has released, we have lost the following (and more)

- Chunk Border packs
- Light Level packs
- Hit Box and Sight line packs
- Redstone power indicator packs
- Packs to remove fog effect
-  Packs to remove enchantment glint, particle effects, and the Vignette effect down in caves

With the new capabilities the Render Dragon graphics engine has, it would be a HUGE benefit to the community to allow for 3rd party support to not only take advantage of the things listed above, but to also give the community the ability to create some really amazing looking shaders that rival what Java Edition has, and help draw more people over the the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.


Render Dragon's shaders currently come pre-compiled, so for 3rd party shaders to become possible, we would need Mojang to share their compiler or work flow. Not only would it be great for this to be made available, but for Mojang to actively develop and promote ways for 3rd party creators to make the game more customized and more beautiful for everyone.

    apoyo a los shaders eran compatibles con mi pc pero desde que pusieron el tal renderdragon no puedo usar shaders

    La verdad no estoy en contra de este nuevo motor gráfico, pero hay que tener en cuenta que no todos tienen un sistema operativo o una tarjeta gráfica muy buena para PC y Android.

    Es bastante triste que hayan quitado los shaders para terceros, ahora la única forma de tenerlos es gastar un montón de dinero para una pc potente y para una tarjeta grafica bastante avanzada y claro, que tu pantalla lo soporte de igual forma.

    No quiero que qui5en los shaders ya que eso le quitara algo esencial a minecraft y personas que no tienen mucho dinero para comprar una RTX van a dejar de jugar y es que minecraft bo es nada sin shaders

    Please Mojang, in the next update make render dragon support 3rd party shaders. I'm new player Minecraft play on Minecraft Windows 10 edition and I want to see good graphic in Minecraft using shaders, I don't have RTX graphics card. My phone is very lag for play mcpe vanilla(maybe only get 10-20 fps), and if I using shaders My phone will hang, Minecraft Win 10 its only way to play Minecraft. Why not play java edition? Because Java use RAM 1GB and I only have 4GB RAM and My cpu can't handle it, its very laggy I can't play it. When I trying to play MCJE with no texture and shader i only can play with 15 fps. Please Mojang, I know its hard work but please make its posibble, thats only way for play Minecraft with shader Please Mojang, I'm really sad 😭 see everyone have high end phone or high end pc and play with 512x texture and shaders, but I only have low end/potato laptop and same for the phone😭😭😭. Please Mojang Please😢

    Besides That, on the versions with render dragon fps has been capped to 60 which also needs to be removed

    Yes totally. This really ruined for everyone who doesn't have RTX. Also, since the Graphics Cards are really high in demand because of Cryptocurrency miners, it really makes it hard for those who want to have shaders but can't. I wanted to get an RTX graphics card, but I couldn't even get a 2060 because they are sooooo expensive right now. So, I looked for shaders, but the only shaders that work are the ones that are made for earlier versions of minecraft. I have a shader for my iPad (Which you can't update minecraft anymore on) and it is only 1.16.40.

    I used to play with shaders, even while playing on servers. But since Renderdragon came, i couldn't use them anymore, none of my pictures or recording i would make looked nice or amazing. I can't even afford to buy an engine that can run Renderdragon( which would mean i would have to buy a whole new pc).
    I am one of the people that can't afford that, and i find it pretty unfair that many people suddenly can't enjoy all the wonderful shaders that have been made and are forced to downgrade to a low end device or buy a better Engine that can use Renderdragon. There should be a way to let both co- exist, as many people don't have the money. Having people use shaders in videos for example might also bring newer players, due to their amazment of what Minecraft Windows 10 edition can do and how much power it has to run such shaders. Please, bring back shaders, they are a important part of minecraft, and allow people, who can't afford to have RTX to atleast have something nice too.

    Or Mojang can be have a switch to graphic engine for RenderDragon (for RTX) and OpenGL 2.0+ (for 3rd party shader )

    this idea is better if mojang really lazy to workaround of the code .

    if they can do this would give me the experience i once had in windows 10 the details of the sun with the lighting and shadowing that gives me inspiration to keep building i want to experience this again.

    For a supposed "upgrade" basically no one is benefiting from it still. No ray tracing on next gen either (which in my opinion looks flat but its better than nothing). Im getting tired of bedrock but because im the only on with  a pc im stuck with it if i want to play with my friends. I cant afford an rtx graphics card and cant even use it on console.
