Iron should stay rare, make the game challenging for once.

I actually like that iron is rare. Instead of making iron immediately accessible to the player, it should only frequently spawn deep underground or high up on mountains.

Copper Ore is a building block. Ofcourse it needs to be everywhere. Maybe you do not find it useful, but a lot of people would love to build with it in Survival, me included, which would require loads of Copper Ore. Copper is not really a part of the essential progression, nor is it meant to be. It is a lot like Quartz; you find loads of it. You can ignore it if you want. I don't understand how having a lot of an ore that doesn't affect progression deeply destroys game balance.

Considering copper can be farmed and has very little uses I kinda agree on toning it down a bit

even if it got one or two more uses, if it isn't something that you have to make lots off you'll end up ignoring copper more often than mining it

By the way, if you look at the latest ore distribution chart on the Minecraft Wiki, Iron and Copper are supposed to be basically the same rarity. There might be some "fundamental" bug that extremely decreases Iron, which has happened before. They've only somewhat decreased both Iron and Copper in 21w10a, so you should find almost the same amounts. Judging by how many people have observed this, I think we should report it on the bug tracker. Having the amounts of Copper and Iron be so different when they're intended to be basically the same amounts is definitely a bug. We can debate the proper amounts afterwards.
