Hi Mojang
I'm a huge fan of Minecraft who is very excited about the new caves and cliffs update and especially the Glow squid. The glow squid was one of the features I was most interested in because I have always loved the potential of the aquatic side of Minecraft. However, even though I love the new mob I don't think it the glow squid reaches that potential. I think the new mob should have the ability to emit it's own light since it is thematically apporpiate and give it a more atmospheric feel. I also noticed that the mob drops a new glow ink sack which does not have any use as far as I'm aware. I know that this will eventually have a use but I was wondering if you can make it so we could craft bioluminescent dye out of it which allow players like me to make glowing wool, concrete, glass, etc all in various colors. This is quite a lot to ask for and I understand if it would too much to add with everything else you have planned but I think it could open up a whole new world of building potential and would allow for some incredible stuff. You can even make it so players would have to tame the glow squid in order to obtain the ink sacks with shears. Thank you for listening and have a great day.
