You are mining through the sandstone layer on the beach shore, when suddenly, you are rewarded with blue flecks. It's not diamonds, but Aquamarine! A rare ore that can only replace sandstone in Beach Biomes, it is never found touching air or water. It generates in veins of 1-4.
Uses for Aquamarine
Soul of the Storm: Crafted with 4 Prismarine Shards and 5 Aquamarine Crystals. It looks similar to a conduit. When it is raining or thundering, it strikes mobs with lightning! Monsters are especially vulnerable if they are at high elevations or touching water. If you feed it Prismarine Crystals, it has a 15% chance to change the weather to rain or thunder, making it a late-game way to change the weather.
Tipped Tridents: If you put a trident in a smithing table with 1 Aquamarine Crystal, it makes a Tempest Spear that deals 1/4 hearts every quarter second for 1.5 seconds total if the mob is in water or exposed to rain. If they are in water/rain AND wearing iron or chainmail, they take 3 hearts of electrocution damage. It is not an effect like poison, but more like fire. It deals damage faster than lava but is less lethal.
Maelstrom Amulet: Made with 1 Aquamarine and 2 Iron Nuggets. Worn in the Helmet Slot, it causes drowned to avoid the player. It has a low durability. This was inspired by legends that Aquamarine protected the wearer against dangers at sea.
